Take 3 For The Sea this Easter

This Easter long weekend, we’d love to ask you, our #totemodgang, to add a simple practice to your daily routine. If you’re heading away to the beach, waterway, bush or even staying home and walking to the local park, please pick up a few pieces of rubbish, dispose of them responsibly or take them with you when you leave.

Plastic pollution is killing wildlife, devastating oceans and threatening the health of our planet. An estimated 8 million tonnes of plastic enters the ocean every year. When it comes to plastic bags the facts are startling - an estimated 500 billion to 1 trillion plastic bags are used annually worldwide. That’s nearly two million plastic bags every minute!

Our charity partner, Take 3 for the Sea, believes in simple actions to address complex problems. It’s this simple act of taking a few pieces of rubbish with you when you leave the sea, beach, park, waterway (well, anywhere really!) that helps to address this global problem we are all facing.

Consider your contribution to the problem too – plastic bags, plastic bottles, straws, coffee cups and disposable packaging. Cut down on single use plastic and be a conscious consumer.

Our reusable totes can be used hundreds of times over and over again reducing the need for plastic shopping bags.

Use reminders to take your TOTE. MODERN. totes with you when you go shopping, or leave bags in your car or at your front door.

It takes all of us implementing simple daily steps that will see us make progress towards combating this serious global problem. We call on you, our #totemodgang, to be part of the solution, today and always.
